Demolition continues: bathroom & siding

While the electricians are busy with the rough wiring I continue the demolition inside the house. After the kitchen I have now finished demolishing the first bathroom: removed all fixtures, sheetrock and window. The hardest part was the bathtub, a heavy metal bathtub that was stuck in place (unlike a plastic bathtub it could not be cut in pieces and unlike a cast iron bathtub it could not be broken up, so it had to go in one piece).

Removing 40 year old bathroom fixtures and toilets is definitely not the most pleasant job and I’m glad it is all over.

I am also removing the siding on the outside and will take this opportunity to replace all insulation – more on that later.
