At the time of this remodel, two books were available on Eichler. Both of them are highly recommended – whether you want to know more about the history of Eichler homes, or looking for remodeling ideas & inspiration. In addition, they’ll look great on your coffee table. Go get them!
  | Eichler: Modernism Rebuilds the American Dream This book, the most recent of the two listed here, has to be the reference when it comes to Eichler homes. In-depth story of the builder and his companies, and tons of black & white promotional pictures from the period. The folks from the Eichler Network put that book together. |
  | Eichler Homes: Design for Living This book takes a more personal and less historical approach to Eichler. The history of the company is also detailed at length, but in the words of Eichler’s son. The photos radically differ from the first book: they’re in color and show what various Eichler homes, painstakingly restored or more liberally remodeled, look like today. |
